Regina Beach Art Frenzy

5th Annual Regina Beach Art Frenzy 2015 October 27 2015

This year we raised $1000.00 for Mamas4Mamas, an organization based in Regina headed by Erin MacCauley-Davalos. Erin is hand-delivering this money to Honduras, Central America, and it will be used to buy kits for mother and baby care.  We are so honored to be supporting Erin in her endeavours.  For more info, see www.mamas4mamas.ca

Sandra Topinka opened the festival with a beautiful prayer bowl meditation.

The weather co-operated for us during the day, and we had a great afternoon of shopping the many vendors, getting henna tattoos, and enjoying readings by various seers and card readers. Casey and Adria from Dancing Dragons performed some amazing feats of juggling, hula-hooping and shenanigans for us to enjoy. See www.facebook.com/dancingdragonsltd. The Sunday Arts Market (SAM) created some amazing painted faces and other artistic wonders. See www.facebook.com/Sam-Galleries. Cathy and Ashley of Regina Beach World of Water Rentals lead the kids in crafts, creating some beautiful lanterns for the sunset parade.

There were some fantastic tunes throughout the day provided by Regan Hinchcliffe, Myla, Keiffer McLean, and various other musicians that jammed, drummed, sang and danced. Special thanks to Sifo and Simo from Chung Wah for their impromptu music set.

Our evening show began with Chung Wah doing a demo that got us all out of our seats and warmed up for the chilly night ahead.  They performed a beautiful Tai Chi demo put to music and the Dragon Dance was amazing!  Tree Dragon performed a mystical music set just after dusk, and the evening concluded with Fire Dancing with Kelly and Rhonda, and Tribal Vibes Wild Fire. See www.facebook.com/Tribal-Vibes-Wildfire-Productions.

Thanks to our sponsors, vendors, performers and volunteers, the 5th Annual Art Frenzy was a screaming success!  For more photos of the fun, check out our Facebook Page www.Facebook.com/ReginaBeachArtsFrenzy

4th Annual Regina Beach Arts Frenzy 2014 September 25 2014

This year we raised money for an orphanage in Sudan that now houses 21 children. Because of the political situation of Sudan we cannot give out any specific information, however, the money we raised will be able to feed and clothe the children for the rest of the year.

Sandra Topinka opened the festival with a beautiful singing bowl blessing and smudge.

Although the weather was a little on the damp side this year we still had an excellent turnout for vendors, performers, and customers.

Belly Dance with Linda came out and did a wonderful interactive performance that had the audience shimmying right along with them! https://www.facebook.com/bellydancewithlinda

Thank you to Ashley and Cathy for doing the kid's crafts in the afternoon and leading the children down to the beach for the dusk lantern parade for a healing ceremony around the Mother Tree.

As always, the fire show was amazing and brought out a huge crowd! Thank you to Kelly and Rhonda for their fire duet and to Tribal Vibes Wildfire. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tribal-Vibes-Wildfire-Productions-Inc/416398015093474

Thank you to all of our sponsors and new and returning vendors for making our festival possible every year!

3rd Annual Regina Beach Art Frenzy 2013 September 24 2014

The 3rd Annual Arts Frenzy took place on August 17th, 2013. We had fabulous music stages at Rudy's and Last Mountain Coffee House, and the fun continued into the night at the Waterfront Beach Bar featuring three local rock bands.

There was a jump tent at the Town Office lawn, and crafts for the kids at Sundae Times. The children made lanterns in the afternoon and did a lantern parade to the lake at dusk.

DJs 2 Beats and A Hat kept the groove all day along at Rudy's parking lot.

The afternoon arts market at Rudy's featured local artists/vendors/psychics/face painters and other treats and treasures.

We enjoyed drum circles all day, along with fire spinners and belly dancers just after dark.

All profits from the day were donated to "The Freedom Climb". Learn more at www.thefreedomclimb.net

2nd Annual Regina Beach Arts Frenzy 2012 September 23 2014

Our charity of choice for 2012 was Angels of the Amazon, we helped raise money for flood victims in Peru. Susan Weir directed us towards this cause and was able to deliver the money in person.

During the day we were treated to live music being performed at The Last Mountain Coffee House and Rudy's parking lot.

We were excited to present our fire dancers, Rhonda and Kelly for the first time at our festival. They did a lovely duet in Rudy's parking lot at dusk.

To follow, three amazing local bands performed at the Waterfront Beach Bar and Grill. Fur Eel, Indigo Joseph and Ink Road.

1st Annual Regina Beach Arts Frenzy 2011 September 22 2014

We were very excited to present our 1st Arts Frenzy Festival on August 13th, 2011. We happily direct the funds raised throughout the day to Regina Beach Waterfront Restoration Project to repair damage from the flooding earlier in the year.

We had psychics, lots of artist vendors, and live music by Indigo Joseph and Ink Road on our main stage at Rudy's.

It was a very successful first year to kick off our soon to be annual Regina Beach Arts Frenzy Festival!
