It is said that Om is the vibration of sound that all life in the universe emanates from. Om is an ancient Sanskrit letter that was first found in the Vedas and eventually made its way to becoming a part of one of the 8 Limbs of Yoga. Dharana, meaning concentration, is the sixth Limb of Yoga and describes that chanting a mantra, especially Om, is an essential part of one's journey to accomplish one's union with the Divine origins.
